Paris Day One

We arrived at like 8 in the morning. It sucked. Sleeping in your clothes and having bad breath and eating leftover crumbs of last nights snacks for breakfast is so gross. I did not sleep too bad, but others did. Poor Amanda and Ashley. We did not know that the bottom bunk folded flat and larger so they literally slept in the crack of the middle and bottom bunks. Ha ha it was hilarious. The headrests were like inches from their faces…..HA HA I will love this memory forever! Good thing we didn’t find out till later that day they folded out bigger…..SORRY GUYS! We went to our hotel after circling the block of our hotel like 8 times because the bus driver was a retard. We made it in to find that our rooms were not all ready and we had to store our things in certain rooms till they were all done. This was masked over as planned by our fearless leaders as a scheduled walking tour that you do not need to get ready for. RIGHT….SO don’t believe you. We walked to the Eiffel Tower, which is like four blocks from our hotel….so cool! We did some sketching in front of the Eifel Tower which was very cool to do even though I sucked it up big time. We then made our way back to the hotel to get ready and showered and changed. Phew….clean clothes and underwear sounds divine right now! Extra Bonus, is that we had three beds and three girls We allg et our own beds and I got a queen to myself. It will be nice but sort of the same as if I just had a twin bed because it is just two twin beds pushed together. I also feel like I am missing a certain someone on the other side of my bed….Wink! After we got ready we headed over to the Pont Neuf which is the most famous bridge that crosses the River that runs through the city. It is famous because it is the oldest and most beautiful of the bridges in the city. Well as we were waiting to go on our boat ride, Nancy who is a professor that is also here with a study abroad student from the theater department got lost and we spent an hour and a half looking for her. While we waited next to the boats during this time we got to watch as 5 or 6 rats ran through the sitting park across the lane from us. It was disgusting…they are so bold there were like forty people just hanging out and they are running all over as if we were not even there. Crazy! Well we finally determine that Nancy will find her way back to the hotel and we went on our tour. It was really beautiful. The lights of Paris at night are gorgeous especially when reflected off the water of the smooth river. I loved it. We saw a lot of cool things from the river and it was totally worth it. We did not get home till late, jus tin time to shower and prep for tomorrow!
